The objective of Texas Giant Schnauzers is to raise puppies that are sound in temperament, structure, movement, and health. All our puppies are raised in the home and, when possible, undergo the Volhard Puppy Aptitude Test and the Hastings Puppy Puzzling (the Hastings approach to evaluating the structural quality of the puppies) before they are matched with their forever homes. Costs and Important Information
Puppies will go to their new homes at a minimum of 9 weeks of age. Puppies will be wormed and will have had their initial vaccinations and thorough veterinary exam at 9 weeks of age, as well as a microchip. Puppies tails are docked and dewclaws removed by our vet at 3 to 5 days of age. Tails are docked unless otherwise discussed with the new puppy owner, wherein the puppy must be paid for in full prior to 3 days of age.
Puppies are $1850 to $5000.
Delivery can be arranged to anywhere in the United States for $600 to $900, depending on the age of the puppy at the time, which includes the airline crate. We reserve the right to determine the shipping company and will work with you to set up the best date and time to have your puppy delivered to the airport closest to you. We generally fly with American Airlines out of Bergstrom International Airport in Austin, Texas. Pre-apply today to get started!
Reserve Your Dream Puppy Today
You are welcome to put a reservation on a puppy by submitting your name, preferred sex of the puppy and if you have a color preference. You will be notified once the puppies have been whelped. Once the puppies reach 3 to 5 days of age and have had their tails docked and checked by our veterinarian, you will be required to place a nonrefundable deposit of $925, which is 1/2 of the cost of a limited registered pup or $2500 for a fully registered pup, to secure your puppy.
We will place reservations and deposits in the order they are received so that the first deposit gets the first pick of the litter and so on. The non-refundable deposit fee will go toward the purchase price of your puppy. The deposit fee is only refundable in the unlikely event that the puppy of choice dies and is not available to the purchaser at 9 weeks of age. The deposit can then be either refunded or made available for a future litter at the discretion of the purchaser.
Available Giant Schnauzer Puppies
If you are particularly interested in an uncommon color, such as black or silver, please be aware that these puppies are in great demand and are often spoken for as soon as they are born. So if you are eager to obtain a particular color, it is advisable to place a deposit as soon as the puppies are whelped in order to secure your choice. Currently, as of 12-1-2023, we are only offering solid black puppies.

Giant Schnauzer Ear Cropping
Due to the high cost of ear cropping and the limited number of qualified veterinarians who perform the correct ear cropping procedure on a Giant Schnauzer, we would prefer, if you are wanting to have your puppy's ears cropped, that you have the procedure performed after you take your puppy home. I can recommend the qualified veterinarians who perform the procedure, but be prepared to pay between $500 and $700 for the operation. We recommend Dr. Michael Revere and his staff at Ear Trim in Houston. He is a very good veterinarian who is an ear-cropping specialist and extremely reasonable in his fees (www.eartrim.com).
As ear cropping is a surgery, please be aware that any procedure that requires anesthesia has a risk of injury or death. Most veterinarians prefer to perform the procedure when the puppy is 8 to 12 weeks of age . As puppies are ready to go to their new home at 9 weeks of age, the new owner still has time to have the ear cropping procedure done after they have taken the puppy home. Some vets will perform the procedure up to 16 weeks of age.
